RECOVERY COUNSELING
Our individual recovery counseling offers a personalised space for reflection, orientation, and growth. Our sessions always take place outdoors, using nature’s cycles and rhythms, to help us regulate, inspire change, and give us new perspectives. Much of our work revolves around reinstalling the conditions for health and healing to naturally occur; by exposing ourselves to the types of environments and dynamics we’ve evolved to thrive in. Guided by attachment-informed practices and adventure-therapy dynamics, we them support participants activate change in real time; discover and cultivate inner resources, develop authentic self-leadership, and install habits supportive of a life of true wellbeing.

Drawn to an outdoor, adventure-based approach that complements or extends traditional therapeutic support.
PRINCIPLES
Our counseling work follows the RO Philosophy, a therapeutic journey inspired by the Native American Medicine Wheel. It reflects four primary attachments that shape human health and wellbeing: to creation, to ourselves, to others, and to the world at large Each direction speaks to a core attachment dynamic, and a therapeutic step in the journey of healing.
East – Spirit. “Renewing sense of purpose, personal values and general orientation in life through non-dogmatic exploration of personal belief systems, supported by our immersions in wild natural landscapes and simple rites or ceremonial practices.”
South – Body. “Reaquainting with the body, as a vehicle of safety and regulation. Establishing healthy rhythms, sustainable habits and life-giving routines to restore balance, and create a stable foundation to engage fully and functionally in daily life.
West – Heart. “Restoring our abilities to connect safely to others, learning to relate while experiencing the full spectrum of our emotions, navigating life’s challenges and regulating ourselves without returning to old coping strategies.”
North – Mind. Rekindling life purpose, discovering contribution and exercising self-leadership; identifying strengths, setting goals and taking steps towards a full engagement with life in society.”

NEW BEGINNINGS. 1-ON-1 COUNSELING. ONLINE & IN-PERSON
This program offers a modular counseling journey through the four ‘directions’ that shape our methodology. We start our process with an elaborate intake, after which we craft a tailored recovery journey together, that follows a modular structure. Participants are invited to work one module at the time, over a longer period.
Our groundwork and preparations are done in an online counseling format, followed by self-guided wilderness therapy challenges to shape your recovery process at home. We then take focussed deep dives during guided, multi-day immersions in the Scandinavian Wilderness. Upon return, you’ll receive one more counseling call, followed by an integration challenge.
